Buying an existing business starts an entrepreneur at a point of existing revenue — a fundamentally better starting position than building from scratch.
Advanced Wealth Education Corporation equips underserved entrepreneurs to acquire businesses, sustain the jobs that strengthen their communities, and become institutionally bankable.
AWEC is the only nonprofit in DFW — and one of very few nationally — teaching LMI and underserved entrepreneurs to acquire existing businesses using acquisition financing. We don't teach people to start businesses from scratch. We teach them to buy businesses that already work.

AWEC's program is designed for underserved entrepreneurs ready to transition from the workforce into business ownership — including veterans entering civilian careers and hourly workers seeking a path to economic independence.
Transitioning from military service to civilian careers, veterans bring discipline, leadership, and operational expertise — ideal qualities for business ownership.
Workers seeking a path beyond hourly wages to business ownership, building generational wealth and economic independence in their communities.
LMI entrepreneurs who have been excluded from traditional capital pathways — AWEC teaches them to become institutionally bankable and acquire existing businesses.
Every participant follows the same proven pathway — three sequential stages that take you from financial foundation to business acquisition.

Build the financial foundation every business owner needs. This stage prepares you for capital readiness and business acquisition by establishing the fundamentals.
Capital readiness and bankability preparation. Learn how to position yourself and your business to access institutional capital — becoming a financeable business owner that lenders want to work with.

Business acquisition mastery. Learn how to identify targets, structure deals, negotiate seller notes, conduct due diligence, and access institutional capital to fund your acquisition.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dorian spent 25 years in commercial real estate as a CEO, developer, investor, broker, and consultant — leading over four million square feet of transactions across mixed-use, retail, industrial, multifamily, affordable housing, and land development projects.
Dorian founded AWEC on a simple conviction: the fastest path to economic independence is not starting a business from scratch — it is acquiring one that already works. Under his leadership, AWEC became the only nonprofit in the Dallas-Fort Worth region teaching LMI entrepreneurs the complete business acquisition process, from financial foundation through institutional financing. His goal is to educate 10,000 individuals on investing, wealth-building strategies, and community redevelopment — one business acquisition at a time.
